Spain’s Lamine Yamal who is only 16 years and 362 days, might be the forever recordholder of the youngest goalscorer in European Championship, the fact that he made this record versing Kylian Mbappé’s France was just icing on the cake. Randal Kolo Muani opened the score for France with the assist from Kylian Mbappé in the 9th minute. In just 12 minutes later, Yamal scored the record-making goal to equalize the score. The balance between the two giants broke when Dani Olmo scored another goal for his home country in the 25 minute, helping Spain advance to the final of Euro 2024. Spain will be facing England in the Euro 2024 final.
England vs Netherlands
England’s substitute Ollie Watkins’s literally last-minute strike secured a ticket to the Euro 2024 final for his home country. Before Watkins was summoned to the game, the Three Lions were looking to be going into extra time for the third successive game after Harry Kane equalized Xavi Simons’s goal with a contentious first-half penalty. In the second half, Watkins and Cole Palmer were both introduced to the game with 9 minutes left. The latter delivered a beautiful assist that led to the former scoring a decisive goal for the Three Lions.
Who is the third-place winner of Euro 2024
There is no third-place winner for this tournament as the European football’s governing body decided to scrap third-place match from Euro 2016 onwards. This means that Netherlands and France who both got knocked out by the finalists of Euro 2024, will end their Euro 2024 run empty-handed.
